CA, AJKS and Akademikernes A-kasse

During our first meeting we will talk about what you can expect from the Jobcenter and what we expect from you. In addition, you will be enrolled in a job search course - also called activation (aktivering).

You will automatically be invited for your first meeting at the Jobcenter. This typically happens shortly after your CV-meeting with your unemployment insurance fund (A-kasse).

Topics covered at the meeting:

1. Are you looking for jobs broadly on a geographical and professional scope?

There are many advantages by applying for jobs on broad geographical and professional scale. Outside the metropolitan area there is less competition for the good positions, and if you are looking outside your primary field of expertise, you can discover new potentials in your job search.

2. What is a good strategy?

During your meetings at the Jobcenter you will get sparring on your job search strategy and hear what other candidates have done to get a job quickly. This can include an internship, unsolicited applications, a targeted CV, networking and assessing the job market.

3. Enrolment Registration business-oriented course (activation)

If the job pending, you will have to start in a business-oriented course — also called activation (aktivering). We will clarify the details during the first meeting at the Jobcenter, but you should expect to start the course after 3-6 months of unemployment.

During the meeting you will make an agreement with the consultant on 1-2 jobs, that you will apply for within the foreseeable future. If you have any jobs that you going to apply for, it is important that you register them in the joblog before the meeting. Remember these jobs must illustrate that you are applying for jobs broadly both on a professional and geographical scale.

  2. Register your professional profile (Faglig profil) and professional qualifications (Faglig kvalifikationer)  on Jobnet

Based on the information you have registered, you can be matched to a potential job, an internship (virksomhedspraktik), or a wage subsidy (løntilskudsansættelse).

  3. Add at least three job titles under "I am applying for job as" (Jeg søger job som)

It is important that you from the very beginning spread out your job search. At least one of the job titles should therefore be a title in which there is no requirement for an academic background. Make sure the job postings are realistic.
