Conversation and guidance
One of the core elements of LØFT is meeting with your LØFT consultant. At the meetings you and your consultant can make a plan for your path towards getting a job, while taking your challenges into consideration.
The meetings can be physical, digital or on the phone – that also depends on whether you are doing an internship e.g.
Community and workshops
LØFT also offers a workshop where you can work on your job search in collaboration with others. This is also a great opportunity to expand your network and get feedback from new people.
The workshops give you a place to structure your job search and find new inspiration to apply unsolicited and attend to relevant presentations.
Clarification of possibilities and rights and disability compensations
If you are part of LØFT, you might give a diagnosis which enables you to get additional support in your search for a job. This could be priority for being invited to interviews (fortrinsret) and a special type of wage subsidy (isbryderordningen).

How did you become a part of LØFT?
“It all started when I couldn’t manage my previous job – because of my autism and ADHD. When I started receiving unemployment benefit (dagpenge) I wanted to base my job search on my diagnoses and not be afraid of exposing them. I insist that they are part of who I am – for better and for worse.
My openness led to becoming part of LØFT. I mentioned it to my consultants, and they told me about the possibility of becoming part of LØFT.”
How was your LØFT course?
“I started with a meeting where we uncovered whether it made sense for me to participate. Afterwards it has been about getting to know the rights and possibilities I have, based on my diagnoses.
My course consisted of two elements. The first has been about finding internships and contacting companies unsolicited, and the second one has been about applying with priority to the interviews (fortrinsret) which I have because of my diagnoses.
I probably wouldn't have used these rights if I hadn’t been a part of LØFT. I got diagnosed as an adult, and I found it quite uncomfortable to use these rights, as I perceive them as someone else’s rights, instead of mine. However, seeing my challenges as part of who I am has improved my confidence.”
What have you gotten from the course?
“Specifically, I have now gotten a job. A Job where my diagnoses – and their pros and cons – are taking into account. I might never have to use the help but knowing that I have the possibility to gives me a sense of security.
LØFT has helped me confirm that it is important for me to be transparent about my challenges and strengths. The course has also provided me with a lot of new knowledge about my possibilities and rights.”

How did you become a part of LØFT?
“It was a long process, where I was struggling with finding the right course for me.
I was frustrated and I had been on sick leave too. It was a quite chaotic time in my life when I had a meeting with the Jobcenter who told me about LØFT.”
How is your LØFT course?
”I am relatively new in LØFT and so far I have weekly meetings, but I haven’t used the full potential of LØFT yet. It means a lot to me that I no longer feel alone in my job search. I have someone who listens to me and wants to help me show the best version of myself. My potential is being seen, although I still don’t know how to utilize it.
LØFT has given me structure and continuity. I no longer feel pressure, instead I feel that I am allowed to take the time my challenges require. LØFT gives me the feeling that I don’t have to change, but instead I can develop as a person.”
What have you gotten from the course so far?
“I haven’t necessarily followed all the plans we have made. However, LØFT has given me the structure I needed, to handle everything that has been happening.
I know how to write a profile caption and send an application, which I wouldn’t if it wasn’t for LØFT. Right now, it seems like the course keeps getting better and better.”
